Jenny
GRFP PERSONAL TRAINER | WOMEN’S STRENGTH COACH
A Minnesota native and now proud Upper West Side resident, Jenny is an ACE-certified personal trainer, HYROX athlete, and lifelong athlete who brings her energy, sports background, and passion for movement to the Grassroots community. She is also a graduate of the Grassroots Fitness Project’s 24-hour trainer mentorship program, which emphasizes technical precision, inclusive coaching, and client-centered care.
Jenny grew up as a multi-sport athlete in basketball, volleyball, and golf, later transitioning into long-distance running — completing two half marathons in college. While earning her degree in biomedical engineering, she developed a strong foundation in biomechanics and physiology, often programming strength routines for herself and her peers while juggling a demanding academic workload.
Her time at Northwestern University, where she earned her master’s degree, marked a turning point: she officially pursued her passion for strength and athletic performance by becoming a certified trainer.
Today, Jenny blends her background in sports, strength training, and endurance competition to coach both women and men. Her training style emphasizes confidence through competency — helping clients unlock their strength through barbell lifts, plyometrics, and thoughtfully structured programs that support long-term growth.
