Breast Cancer Awareness & Women's Strength

Join us for any Women's Strength Class on October 30th. Proceeds from all Women's Strength Classes will be donated to this cause.

We've partnered with Shari Brooks Founder of bakeithappen.com. The main goal is raising money and awareness for Metastatic Breast Cancer. There is no cure for MBC and 30% of those diagnosed with early stage breast cancer will have MBC later in life. That’s why it’s critical that we raise money for research. Shari's mother died 11 years ago from the disease and her partner, Dr. Rebecca Scalera, is in the fight for her life (she’s 47 with 2 kids).

"The premise of the campaign is simple and fun. You don’t need to train for a race, walk 3 miles, or host a bake sale. We want people to bake (one of the recipes on the site) and share the baked goods with the people in their life (much the way my mother did in her lifetime). Every time a photo of a Bake it Happen experience is shared on social media with #bakeithappen, we have a donor donates $5 per picture to our partner foundation The Cancer Couch Foundation. People can participate all month long. And, for those who want to “donate” more than the $5 dollars, they can do so directly on our site. Non bakers can do the same!" - Shari

Know that 100% of proceeds from this campaign will be DOUBLED and used to fund critical MBC research trails at Memorial Sloan Kettering and the Dana Farber Cancer Center!

Nutrition Workshop with Rosie Mayfield

Exercise and nutrition go hand-in-hand. Eating well and enough is very important, especially when you begin exercising more often! I will always uphold the idea that eating well does not just mean eating all “healthy” food, but you also should enjoy what you eat! My personal philosophy rejects the idea that dieting is healthy and should be practiced. I believe that listening to your body will ultimately serve you better than any meal plan or diet book. This is designed so you stress LESS about food and are able to enjoy your life and health more!

Free for all Grassroots Members.

$25 for everyone else looking to work on mindful eating.
