High Intensity Interval Training. Full body, functional movements.
HIIT is our signature Grassroots Fitness Project class. Full body, functional movements including a combination of lower body (squats, deadlifts, lunges, kettlebell swings), upper body (pushups, pressing, pull-ups, rows), and core movements. All performed in short, high-intensity intervals. Equipment used will vary every day, including a combination of dumbells, kettlebells, medicine, rower, jump rope, and plyometric boxes. This class is high-intensity and experience lifting weights is preferred, but not required.
Whole body movements using dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, jump ropes, and running.
Pull-ups, Push-ups, Squats, Lunges and Crawls.
Indoor Classes are kept to a class size of no more then 10 people. Unlike other studios that only provide 50 minutes, we offer the whole hour so that we can include a proper warm-up.
At Grassroots we feel it is important to educate our clients as to why they are doing what they are doing. If you like to get lost in the crowd, this is not the class for you.
In the small group we are able to assess and modify. However, we ask that all participants come physically healthy, as this is still a class and major modifications can not be made.
