ADULT PRIVATE SESSION

We utilize a training method known as “Functional Training.” The guiding idea behind Functional Training is to work the body as an interdependent whole. This represents a departure from the ideas underlying traditional bodybuilding, which seek to separate the body into its principal parts–for example, chest, biceps, or quadriceps. As opposed to training individual muscles, Functional Training focuses on executing movement patterns that strengthen weaker muscles along their length while simultaneously stretching tighter muscles. Functional training movements demand a high degree of motor coordination and what we call “maximum postural stabilizer recruitment.” We use this training regimen when working with children and adults of all ages, to bring about measurable gains in flexibility, mobility, strength, endurance, power and overall performance.
